Description
In this role you will deliver specialist speech pathology services to adult inpatient consumers of the Acute Mental Health and Extended Service units, and the Community Adult Mental Health Service using advanced level speech pathology clinical management and consultancy.
The position operationally reports to the Director Allied Health Mental Health, and professionally to the Director Speech Pathology
The position is permanent full time however job sharing may be negotiated.

Requirements
Clinical expertise
Demonstrated advanced-level knowledge,
expertise, and skills in the delivery of
contemporary, evidence based clinical speech
pathology and multidisciplinary practice, to solve
complex and novel clinical issues in a mental
health clinical setting where established
principles, procedures and methods require
some expansion, adaption or modification.
Communication
Advanced level interpersonal skills evidenced
through an ability to negotiate, manage conflict,
and consult effectively with key stakeholders to
achieve quality outcomes for individual
consumers and their families/carers, and ensure
high quality clinical service delivery standards.
Leadership
Demonstrated advanced level leadership and the
ability to lead change through quality and service
improvement activities and the application of
evidenced based speech pathology and
multidisciplinary team practice.
Research, education and training, and evidenced-based practice
Demonstrated commitment to personal
education, professional development, clinical and
professional supervision, and development of
colleagues through the provision of education,
the involvement in research and the promotion of
personal and professional accountability.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must hold a tertiary
degree (or equivalent qualification) in Speech
Pathology from a recognised tertiary institution,
as well as current fulfilment of Speech Pathology
Australia's certification requirements.
Drivers licence
'C' class motor vehicle licence
