Eldercare has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Speech Pathologist
Based at Eastwood
Part Time opportunity 0.8 FTE (Mondays and Fridays required)
Exciting new role
At Eldercare, our purpose is simple but powerful: to deliver peace of mind with our care.
At Eldercare, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to older South Australians. As one of the state’s leading not-for-profit aged care providers, we foster a compassionate and inclusive work environment where every team member is valued.
By joining Eldercare, you'll become part of a team that prioritises integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on learning and development, we’ll support you as you grow your career.
About the Role Eldercare is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to pioneer and shape our speech pathology services across multiple residential aged care sites. This is a substantial opportunity for a senior clinician ready to make a significant impact—optimising swallowing care and communication for older adults, driving service improvement, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced Speech Pathologist seeking success in a high-impact, autonomous position, with the chance to innovate and build an internal service from the ground up.
You will provide specialist 1:1 assessment and intervention to residents across our sites, including urgent swallowing assessments. You will support large site-based multidisciplinary teams in maintaining best-practice approaches to feeding and communication. And you will work closely with our Food Services team with meal planning and quality assurance. Leveraging your experience in an acute hospital environment, or residential aged care, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a very experienced and passionate Head Office team to embed industry-leading speech pathology practice.
As a Senior Speech Pathologist eligible for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia, you will champion safe and effective swallowing and mealtime practices across the Eldercare community. You’ll collaborate with residents, families, and staff to design person-centred services and empower residents to make informed decisions about their eating, drinking and communication.
