Senior Speech Pathologist – Team Lead
- Full time role based in Karratha – the boating and fishing capital of WA

The Role:
As a Senior Speech Pathologist/Team Lead, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality speech pathology services while leading and supervising a dynamic team of professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise an experienced and diverse team of Speech Pathologists and clinical support staff
- Manage your own caseload by providing high quality speech pathology services to clients through individual therapy, groups therapy, telehealth, home and school programs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the speech pathology service and programs.
- Initiate and participate in quality improvement to evaluate service delivery
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programs
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures, documentation and evaluation of speech pathology services.
- Contribute to the strategic planning, development and implementation of the speech pathology service.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience leading and growing a speech pathology service
- Experience in managing a paediatric caseload, providing advanced level assessment and intervention to children with disabilities and/or developmental delays
- Self-motivated and adaptable to the needs of each client, as well as the team
- Passion for supporting and empowering families in regional WA
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current practicing registration with SPA.

Essential Position Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligible for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Ability to undertake advanced assessment and treatment of complex communication and swallowing disorders in children.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team or service.
- Demonstrated high quality written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and as an individual within a team.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, family centred practice.
Desirable Position Criteria
- Experience in the provision of speech pathology services to people living with disability.
- Ability to work with clients from various cultural backgrounds.
Appointment prerequisites
- Provision of the minimum proof of identity requirements – 100 points.
- Current WA C class drivers licence or equivalent
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
