Speech Pathologist – Across the Lifespan

A unique opportunity waits for a passionate Speech Pathologist to work across the lifespan—supporting both children and adults—while experiencing the natural beauty and cultural richness of Central Australia. As a Speech Pathologist with NT Health, you will work as part of an established, experienced, dynamic, supportive, and multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, culturally appropriate services across the Central Australia and Barkly regions.
Your work will include:
Children’s Development Team (CDT)
– Providing early intervention and multidisciplinary allied health services
– Supporting children’s physical, communication, emotional, and social development
– Working in both urban settings and remote communities
– Collaborating closely with families and community stakeholders
Adult Allied Health Team
– Delivering communication and swallowing assessment and intervention
– Supporting adults and older people to maintain independence and function
– Conducting home based services in Alice Springs and outreach to remote communities
– Participating in health enabling and person-centred care
This role can be tailored to your clinical strengths, or it can offer full lifespan practice to help you develop new expertise. You will also contribute to professional development, quality improvement activities, and collaborative service delivery.
This position includes regular travel by road and occasional travel by light aircraft to remote communities—offering a truly unique and rewarding professional experience.

What You’ll Need
– Eligibility for Practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia
– A current driver’s licence
– Willingness to travel by 4WD and light aircraft
– A commitment to culturally responsive, person-centred practice
