- Speech Pathologist
Description
About the job
This is a rare opportunity to join our team as we are seeking a Speech Pathologist (min 24hrs per week).
The Communication Clinic is well established and has been operating in the East Maitland area for 13 years. We service Newcastle, Lake Maquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock and Upper Hunter LGAs in NSW, Australia.
We are a small team of experienced Speech Pathologists working across the lifespan with Catriona Collins as the founder and Director. Catriona has always carried a clinical caseload so understands the pressures within the job, including juggling being a working parent and parent of a child with a disability, so is responsive to the needs of the team in both their professional and personal lives.
Clinicians work in clinic, homes, schools and the community. Where its helpful for clinicians, they work from home to reduce travel into the clinic. This is balanced with dedicated clinic based days to connect with the team.
We want you to apply if you are:
- Passionate about the profession and the people we work with.
- Love bouncing ideas off the team but are a self directed learner so will contribute to the team as much as you take.
- Have healthy boundaries around client care and the Speech Pathologists role as part of a Multi Disciplinary Team.
- Have experience with a range of assessment tools, analysis of results, goal setting and tracking outcomes.
- Can demonstrate you have a holistic and neuroaffirming approach to care via providing a sample, de-identified, report.
- Can provide innovative interventions that are evidence based.
What you will get:
- Competitive salary
- Dedicated computer and iPad
- Access to the company car to reduce wear on personal vehicles.
- Leave over Christmas and New Year guaranteed.
- Dedicated Professional Development budget and allocated time to complete training.
- Access to a network of local providers, across disciplines, that we work collaboratively with.
- Access to an extensive range of assessments and resources updated as required to ensure we have the most effective tools.
- Access to innovative projects and technology.
- An incredibly supportive team including administration support.
- To work in your area of interest and develop skills in other areas of practice.
